Today’s disrupted education delivery model and demand for distance learning are opening the door for innovation and has evolved the role of data in education. This report represents a summary of insights surfaced through a series of qualitative interviews with more than 100 subject matter experts within the Hoonuit Analytics community.
Through these in-depth interviews, we have identified four key trends of data use, that every education agency will need to focus on over the next 18-24 months to build a flexible, inclusive, and equitable educational environment for each student. These trends are:
- Broader student data sets are needed to support the whole child.
- The ability to uncover digital learning engagement is needed to
understand its impact on student success.
- It is crucial to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of programs.
- Highlighting services and information for families and communities is vital.
